We are implementing safeguards to some of our existing analytics capabilities to ensure you have an uninterrupted, performant, and smooth reporting experience.

Fair Usage Policy (FUP) promotes a fair and consistent experience for all Freshworks Analytics users by:

  • Ensuring your reports load faster, while maintaining optimal platform performance for all users

  • Preventing performance decline due to excessive resource utilization

We are committed to providing a reliable and scalable analytics platform for all our customers. FUP is an essential step towards achieving this goal.

What is changing?

At both the report and page levels, users have the option to create date range filters, which apply to the entire report or only to the specific page. A date range functions as a filter that influences the data retrieved within those specified periods.

How to add a report date range?

  1. On your Analytics home page, you will see a banner that discusses the automatic resolution option, which will automatically update all your reports with a date range.

Note: If you don't see a banner on your analytics homepage yet, you will see one in the next few months, as this is being rolled out in phases.

  1. Click See how to resolve your reports to open a pop-up with details about automatic report range updates. In the consent box, type CONFIRM and click Confirm to automatically apply a date range to all your reports.

  1. All users, whether on older plans (Blossom and Garden) or newer plans (Free and Growth), will automatically have a two-year filter date range applied to all their reports.

  2. All users, whether on older plans (Estate and Forest) or newer plans (Pro and Enterprise), will automatically have the maximum filter date range applied to all their reports.

You can also manually change report date range by following the steps below:

  • To add a report-level date range, navigate to Filters >  Report Filters, and then click "+ date range". This filter will apply to any metrics you create within this report.

  • To add a page-level date range, navigate to Filters > Page Filters, and then click "+ date range". This filter will only apply to metrics you create within this page in the report.
