Benefits of Instructions

This feature helps you:

  • Align the bot's communication style with your company’s standards.
  • Define specific scenarios where the bot should or shouldn’t respond.
  • Provide guidance on the tone and content of responses to enhance customer interactions.

Add and Manage Instructions 

  1. As an Admin, navigate to Freddy AI Agent > Configure > Instructions.
  2. Find the text box with default instructions along with Writing Tips for guidance. 
  3. You can edit, delete, or add more instructions that reflect your brand identity and business logic.
  4. Click Save.


Note: All instructions combined should not exceed the 1000-character limit.


Write Effective Instructions

To help you create clear and effective instructions for the bot, we provide a Writing Tips section. 

The tips include:

  • Clarity: Be direct and precise in your instructions to avoid ambiguity.
  • Tone: Ensure the instructions reflect the tone and style expected by your business, such as friendly, formal, or concise.
  • Restrictions: Specify what the bot should not say or respond to.

Example Instructions:

  • Maintain a polite and professional tone when answering questions.
  • If the incoming query is regarding pricing details, do not try to answer and always transfer to an agent immediately.
  • If the incoming query is about order cancellation, apologize for the inconvenience caused and then provide the latest order cancellation policy details.
