Add Google Calendar event in Freshdesk
To add an event to your calendar in Freshdesk,
Now that you have integrated your calendar with Freshdesk, the Google Calendar icon will appear in the left pane of the tickets module.
Clicking on the Calendar icon opens up the Google Calendar section. Here, click Add an event.
In the Add event overlay that appears, give the meeting a title, add the time and duration along with a description of the event and click Save.
You will receive a toaster message mentioning that the event has been scheduled. You will also see the event in the Google Calendar section in Freshdesk.
The event will be reflected in your Google calendar as well. Click View on Google Calendar to view the event on your calendar.
Note: 1) Only the agent who enabled the integration will be able to use it initially. When other agents visit the ticket details page, they will see the Calendar widget with the warning "Please authorize Freshdesk to access your calendar information." These agents must click Authorize Now and select their own Google Accounts to associate with the helpdesk. Once they do so, they can link ticket events to their Google calendars. 2) Events created are private to that calendar. If another agent visits a ticket for which you have already created an event and they have a different calendar linked, they cannot see it. If multiple agents have linked their helpdesk accounts to the same calendar, they can see events associated with that ticket. Details will be visible until the event occurs.
