Freshchat is GDPR compliant, and also offers options for you to stay GDPR compliant while using Freshchat.

• Opt-out of tracking tools:

If your customers do not want to be tracked via the Freshmarketer tools (which you can use to build and send emails, SMSes, and WhatsApp messages — learn more here) present in Freshchat, please redirect them to 
Opt-out page of Freshmarketer to stop all tracking requests.

• Removing your customer data:

If your customers raise a request to be forgotten or for their data in your systems to be deleted, you can carry out their requests. Navigate to the Contacts & Accounts icon on the sidebar and click Contacts to see a list of your Contacts. You can choose to Delete or Forget each of these contacts

Delete: Deleting a contact moves it to the Recycle Bin, where contacts will be deleted automatically after 30 days, unless you delete it from the Bin.

Forget: Forgetting a contact will directly remove the contact from your account, bypassing the Recycle Bin.

Note: You can access the Recycle Bin by clicking the menu icon to the left of Contacts and filtering by Recycle Bin.
