What does the automatic URL shortener do?

The feature automatically shortens the URLs you want to send in WhatsApp and SMS campaigns.

How to use URL shortening in WhatsApp Campaigns?

  • Go to Marketing Automation > WhatsApp Campaigns
  • Click on Create WhatsApp Campaign and give it a name

  • Select the WhatsApp number, message template, and language
  • You will find the toggle for automatic URL shortening right below
  • Enable the toggle to shorten the URL in your message
Note: The URL shortening works only while sending a message. Please send a test message to check how the URL looks in your campaign.


How to use URL shortening in SMS Campaigns?

  • Go to Marketing Automation > SMS Campaigns
  • Click on Create SMS Campaign and enter the name of the campaign
  • Select the number to be used for sending your SMS campaign
  • You will find the toggle for automatic URL shortening right below it
  • Enable the toggle to shorten URL 
  • Enter the message you want to send and personalize it accordingly


Note: The URL shortening works only while sending a message. Please send a test message to check how the URL looks in your campaign.


Info: If you choose to disable the toggle for the URL shortener, it will cause a hindrance in revenue attribution to campaigns. So, we recommend using URL shortening in all your WhatsApp and SMS campaigns.
