How to send SMS from the mobile app? : Freshsales

The SMS feature in your web application also extends to the mobile app. This allows users to send and receive SMS to their contacts from the mobile app.

NOTE: This feature will work only for users who have configured the SMS integration on their the web application. To configure the integration, refer to this article

Here’s how you can send SMS via the mobile app:

From the home page
From the list page
From the detail Pages of Contacts

Send SMS from the Home Page

Click the button on the top of the home page. This brings up the slider where you can add records and sales activities.
Click SMS. This takes you to a screen where you can compose your SMS.
Click the From dropdown. This brings up all the numbers available for sending SMS. Choose the number from which you want to send the SMS.
Add a recipient by either typing the Name or the Phone number. This brings up suggestions.

Click to add the recipient. You can add more than one recipient. Now if you add an invalid number as the recipient, you will be presented with an error message.
Add text to your SMS. You can also add placeholders to the SMS by clicking Add Placeholder and selecting fields to add.
Click to send the SMS.

Once the SMS is sent you will receive a success notification. You will also be presented with a pop-up outlining the numbers the SMS was sent to and to those the SMS failed.

From the list view

Press and hold a contact. This brings up options– Email and SMS– on the top of the screen.
Select Recipients to whom you'd like to send the SMS.
Click the icon. This brings up the compose window with the recipients prefilled. You can also add additional recipients by clicking the ‘To’ dropdown and add recipients.
Add text to your SMS. You can also add placeholders to the SMS by clicking Add Placeholder and selecting fields to add.
Click to send the SMS.
