During email setup bring in older emails into Freshsales to maintain context and history. Use historical sync to bring in past email conversations (both sent and received) related to your contacts.

Note: The option to sync older emails from your email provider to Freshsales is available only once— while connecting your email with Freshsales. If skipped during setup, there is no scope to import older emails into Freshsales.

To sync older emails,

  1. Click the Profile icon > Personal settings > Connect email.

  2. Click Import older emails under 2-way sync in Email sync settings. This brings up a pop-up that helps you select the time-period from which you would like to sync older emails.

  3. Choose the date range until which you wish to sync your emails. The date range depends on your plan*. You can choose between the following:

    1. Last 30 days

    2. Last 3 months

    3. Last 6 months

    4. Last 12 months

    5. Last 24 months

Note:

1) You can choose from 1 month to 12 months from the Growth plan onwards.*

2) The 24 months option is available only in the Enterprise plan.

3) Historical import of emails will not be available for 1-way sync.

4) When the existing customer changes from 2-way sync to 1-way, emails that have already been synced will not be deleted.

4.Click   to commence the sync.

All emails (including attachments) for the configured date range will be pulled in. Once the import of historical emails is complete, you will receive an email and in-app notification. You can also find the status of the sync under the section. It will contain the date range of the sync and the last sync time.

Note:
1) There is an upper limit of 10000 emails while pulling historical import data. Once the limit is reached, the sync will be stopped.

2) During trial, when the inbox is connected, emails from the last 4 days will be pulled in.

3) Historical sync is limited to only once for one mailbox in the same account. When a mailbox is disconnected and then reconnected again, there will be a check to see if the historical import is already done for the mailbox in that particular account. If it has already been done, the historical import will not be performed again.

4) In progress historical imports will be canceled if connect email permissions are disabled.
