Improve your customer support experience by integrating the Shipstation app into your Freshchat inbox. This app provides agents with valuable order and shipping information directly within the Freshchat interface, enabling them to assist customers more effectively. In this article, we'll guide you through the installation and user flow of the Shipstation integration. 

Installation
Follow these simple steps to install the Shipstation app:

  1. Navigate to the Freshchat marketplace and search for the Shipstation app.

  2. Click "Install" to add the app to your Freshchat account.

  3. In the app settings, enter your Shipstation API key and Secret.

  4. To obtain these, log in to your Shipstation account and navigate to Account → API Settings.

  5. Enter your Freshchat Domain (youraccount.freshchat.com) and API Key.

  6. To obtain these, log in to your Freshchat account and navigate to Admin → API Settings. 

  7. Click "Save" to complete the installation.

Using the Shipstation App
After successfully installing the app, follow these steps to access and use the Shipstation widget in the Freshchat inbox:

  1. Open a conversation with a customer in the Freshchat inbox.

  2. Locate the Shipstation widget on the right-hand side of the inbox view. 

  3. In the widget, you'll see a list of the customer's recent orders. Each order displays the following information from Shipstation: 

    1. Order ID 

    2. Shipping status 

    3. Order Date 

    4. ETA

    5. Order Value

    6. Shipping Address

  4. To search for a specific order, enter the Order ID in the search bar at the top of the Shipstation widget and click "Search." The order details will appear in the widget if the Order ID is valid. 

By integrating the Shipstation app into your Freshchat inbox, you can provide more personalized and efficient support to your customers. Agents will have easy access to crucial order and shipping information, allowing them to better understand and address their needs.
