For bots created before October 2022, please follow the instructions below:

Step 1 : Create a new bot version.

Step 2 : Change the deploy type from Self-Service widget to Conversations Widget from under the Deploy Tab. Click on Save.

Step 3 : Publish the bot.

Step 4 : Map the new version of the bot to the Topic where the bot needs to be triggered. To accomplish this, go to Admin->Topic. You may either choose to deploy the bot on the default “Chat With Us” Topic or map it to one of the other Topics you have created. To know more about Topics, please visit this page.

Step 5 : Configure the conversation widget by going to Admin->Channels->Web Widget. For more details on configuring the web widget, please visit this page.

Step 6 : Get the new widget script and redeploy your bot on all the relevant webpages.

Step 7: Configure any user identification/authentication and other run-time configurations as per the developer documentation.

For bots created after October 2022, please follow the instructions below:

Step 1 : Select the relevant bot and click on the Menu button represented with three dots and click on the “Clone Bot” option.

Step 2 : Change the channel to “Web-Conversations Widget”. 

Step 3 : Map the new version of the bot to the Topic where the bot needs to be triggered. To accomplish this, go to Admin->Topic. You may either choose to deploy the bot on the default “Chat With Us” Topic or map it to one of the other Topics you have created. To know more about Topics, please visit this page.
