Using Freshworks CRM, you can edit or delete the fields associated with records.

Edit field

To edit a field,

  1. Go to Admin Settings > Contacts/Accounts/Deals/Custom Modules module.

  2. Click theicon beside a field.

  3. Click Edit field. The edit field overlay appears.


  1. In the Edit Field overlay,

    1. You can change the Label of the field. The Internal Name, and Field type, however, cannot be edited. 

    2. You can configure the field properties such as making it a required fieldread-only fieldunique field and also opt to display the field in the quick add form.

    3. Add the field to Group/ Sub-group by choosing from the Group or Sub-group dropdown.

    4. Add a placeholder text to the field to make it easy for users to understand the purpose of the field.

    5. Add a tooltip to describe the purpose of the field.

  2. Click Save.

Hide field
To hide a field,

  1. Go to Admin Settings > Contacts/Accounts/Deals/Custom Modules module.

  2. Click theicon beside a field.

  3. Click Hide field.

  4. Upon confirmation, the field will be removed from the add and edit forms of the record.

Note: Click the Add field button to add the field again to the quick add forms.

Delete field

To delete a field

  1. Go to Admin Settings > Contacts/Accounts/Deals/Custom Modules module.

  2. Click theicon beside a field.

  3. Click Delete field.

  4. Upon confirmation, the field will be removed in the CRM.

Note:
Default fields cannot be deleted. The delete option applies only to custom fields
You can edit and hide fields in the Free plan. The delete option is available from the Growth plan.
