In this article, we’ll cover the enhancements to the list view in the deals module for your sales teams to improve productivity and ease of use and increase revenue.
Tabs
Tabs help you switch between multiple views. By default, the Open deals tab will be available.
To select a new view, click the + (number of views) more button > Choose the view you want to add as the new tab from the following options:
All views: List of default, custom, and shared views
Default views: List of default views only
My views: List of custom views (views you have created by applying filters)
Other views: List of shared views from other users
Click + Add new view to add a new tab. You can filter based on your preference and save the new view.
Note:
You can also use Ctrl + O (Windows) or Command + O (Mac) to add a new view
Add deal
Click the Add deal button to add individual deals to the CRM.
Click Import deals to add multiple deals via a .Csv or. Xlsx file
Click the Import deals drop down button and click View import history to view the status of the records that are imported.
Settings
Click the Settings button to perform the following actions:
Customize table/cards
Go to Settings > Customize table to customize the the columns and fields in the table view
Customize the fields on cards using the customize cards button when you’re on any of the Card views.
Note:
Customization options are on a user and admin level. Every user can customize the list view based on their requirements.
You can choose a maximum of 50 fields (columns) in the list view
The most recent customization (set by the user or admin) will apply for the user. The user will be notified about the recent customization by the admin.
Default pipeline
If you have multiple pipelines, you can set one as the default pipeline so users can land on that pipeline without having to switch between different pipelines.
Stale or rotten deals
As a deal ages, the likelihood of winning the deal diminishes i.e., the deal rots. Freshsales highlighs these deals in red so you can take action to move the deal across or out of the pipeline. Go to Settings > Set age for stale deals to set the number of days that determine deal rotting.
Action bar
Perform quick actions on the list of deals from the Action bar.
The following are the actions you can perform on the actions bar:
Switch between view types
Click the dropdown in the Action bar to switch between the different view types. You can choose from the Table, Pipeline, Forecast, and Group by (card view that groups delas based on specific fields) views.
Table View
Pipeline View
Forecast (Previously timeline view) - You can switch between month and quarter views in forecasting.
Group by
Group deals based on a field value using the Group by option.
You can group by the following fields:
Forecast category
Territory
Type
Sales owner
Note:
The view will change from Table to Card view when deals are grouped.
Bulk actions
To perform bulk actions, select the deals you want to take bulk actions on. You can select up to 100 deals at a time.
Choose the following bulk action options that you can perform:
Delete
Update field
Add tags
Bulk email
Assign to
Click Cancel bulk selection
Note: You can also manually select more than one deal to open the bulk action options
Filters
Click the filter icon to open the Filter overlay. You can add a filter or a combination of filters to run your search.
All owners
Filter deals by owners. You can add filters on top of ‘All owners’ filter.
Table View
The table view gives you an excel or spreadsheet-like experience, helping you make quick changes to deal data.
Click the button to switch between compact and comfortable views
Click the dropdown on the columns to perform the following options:
Sort ascending - Sorts column values in ascending order
Sort descending - Sorts column values in descending order
Add column to the right - Adds a column to the right (you can choose the field to add)
Add column to the left - Adds a column to the left (you can choose the field to add)
Collapse column - Minimizes the column/field in the table
Remove column - Removes column/field from the view
Edit all columns - Lets you choose which columns you want to view
Rename field - Change the name of the field. This will be reflected in all touchpoints in the CRM
Clone field - Make changes on top of a field from the ADD FIELD overlay and add the newly created field as a column to the right.
Delete field - Delete the field across all touchpoints in the web application.
Add as filter - Opens the filter on the right with the column field as the filter condition
Tags
Tag and fields are color coded for better data visualization.
Click the ‘‘+’ icon near the last column to add additional columns
Enhanced inline edit
Inline edits are more prominent as the cell or card you are currently editing will be highlighted
To rename a deal click the space between the selection checkbox and the display/profile picture
Card Views
Compact and Expanded Cards
Compact cards come with field values only while expanded cards include field values and their labels.

Note: If you’ve signed up after Sept 7 2023, you can only view the Compact card
When you switch to the Pipeline view deals will be grouped by the ‘Deal stage’ field by default.
Fields in the cards are customizable at a user level
Drag and drop cards to move them from one column/group by field to another
You can choose a maximum of 6 fields (including the Name field) per card in the Card views. The Name field cannot be removed.
Note: Card views are available from the Growth plan.
Summary Slider and Customer 360 view
Clicking on the name of a deal opens the summary slider for a quick view of all the fields associated with the deal.
Navigate to summary details of previous and next contacts from here by clicking on the arrow keys on the top right
You can also view other sections configured for the deal from the summary slider.
Note:
The summary slider will function in both the Table and Card views
To land on the details page of the contact, and get a 360° view, hover on the name of the deal and click the (See all details) expand icon
Other Changes
Deal Summary
You can view the summary of deals in two places in the pipeline page.
View-level summary - Represents the summary of the deals present in the view. For example, if you’re on the table view, this summary includes all the columns present in the table. Filters added to the view will also affect the summary value.
View-level summary is present on the tabs. Click the dropdown for additional information
Column-level summary - Represents the summary of the deals of the particular column
Click Summarize on the summary card to change the field based on which the column or view is summarized
Search bar - Use the search icon to find deals quickly. The search feature is not case-sensitive.
Won/Lost Deal
You can view the stage of the deal as well in the forecast view. Deals in progress are marked in blue, won deals in green, and lost deals in red.
