Note: The Polls Feature is avaialble as a part of the CRO add-on and will only be available for users for whom the CRO add-on is enabled.
Polls and feedback are some of the best ways to directly gauge your customer’s opinion and this offers a good way to engage your visitors and collect crucial feedback.
This article will help you in creating your polls and feedback with your web application.
To create a poll,
Go to WEB ANALYTICS AND MANAGEMENT > Polls & Feedback
Click New. The Create Poll box opens up.
Type in the name for your poll and click Create.
In the Build tab that opens up, choose the question type. You can choose from the following question types:
Short answer - Short answer type will allow respondents to give a short answer of about a line length. The allowed character length for the visitor to answer is 150.
Long answer - Long answer type allows respondents to type answers that range from a line to multiple lines. The allowed character length for a user to answer this type of question is 300.
Radio Button - Radio button question type allows respondents to select one option from a list of options. In other words, yes or no questions are of this type.
Checkbox - The checkbox question type allows respondents to select multiple options for a single question.
Net Promoter Score (NPS) - Net Promoter Score (NPS) question type helps you to analyze how likely your visitors recommend to others. The scoring for this type of question is mostly based on a 0 to 10 scale. Respondents are bucketed based on the scores as promoters, passives, and detractors.
Note: 1) To add questions, click on + Add Another Question 2) In Radio Button and Checkbox question types, you can add a textbox for all the options to get a mandatory response from the user with the help of Mandatory Comment option. 3) Click the comment icon and check the Mandatory Comment checkbox to enable this option. The below-given screenshot below explains how the poll looks after enabling Mandatory Comment option.
Click the pencil icon to the right of the Thank you message to customize it. This message will be displayed to your respondents, upon submitting the answer to the last question in the poll.
Click Next. In the CONFIGURE tab that appears, customize and personalize the poll widget. This tab allows you to do the following:
Set themes for poll
Position poll
Set Behavior for poll
Device-specific targeting
Set traffic for poll
Configure experiment scheduler
Note: Click the Advanced Options drop-down to set traffic and configure the experiment scheduler.
7. Click Next. The URL tab appears where you can provide the URL targeting for the poll. Enter the URL of the page for which the poll should appear. To change the URL match type, click on the drop-down menu.
8. In the ADVANCED OPTION section, mention the URLs of the page(s) to be excluded from your poll.
9. Click Launch to launch the poll for the specified URL(s). A success message confirming the successful launch appears.
