Configure chat in multiple languages

Break the language barrier with Chat’s Multilingual feature. Provide self-service support to your customers and prospects in the language they speak and make them feel at home.

This feature enables you to customize Topics and FAQs in multiple languages. These languages can be added or removed in language settings.

The supported languages are Arabic, Catalan, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Czech, Danish, Dutch, German, English, Estonian, Finnish, French, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Korean, Latvian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Portuguese - Brazil, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Spanish - Latin America, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Ukranian, Vietnamese, Hindi, Hebrew, Khmer, Malay, Japanese.

Before adding a new language, set the default (primary) language for your Chat. This should be the most common language spoken by your customers. It will also be the default language if their browser is set to a language that Chat doesn’t support.

The language that you set here is for Topics and FAQ translations.

Note: The language that you set here is for Topics and FAQ transactions

How to add languages

Go to your bot Admin Settings > Channels > Chat Settings > Chat Languages

Add other languages by clicking on ‘Add a language’ and select the language from the drop-down.

Note: Primary language can be set only once. You cannot change it later.

By default, newly added languages are disabled. You have to enable it by switching the toggle to the right.

Now you can translate FAQs and Topics in the languages you added here. The web application also provides right-to-left language support.
