In Freshsales, phone calls are automatically logged, but if you receive a call from a prospect on your personal number, you can manually log it and add notes.

Here’s how you do it,

  1. After you receive or make a phone call, click the More button from the phone widget and select Add call log.

  2. Call Log overlay appears. In the field Associate this phone call to,

    1. Existing Contact

    2. Existing Account 

    3. Existing Deal

      Search for them either by their first or last name in the field Name and choose from the search results that appear.

  3. You can add notes in the box displayed under Notes

  4. Click Save when you’re done.

Alternatively, you could manually log calls made outside Freshsales using the Quick Add button to the top right of your account and also from the details page of the contact or account. 

Adding a call log using the quick add button:

The call log is added and can be found under All Phone calls in the Conversations tab and also under Recent Conversations in the details page of the respective contact or account. The notes added in the call log can also be found on the details page of the respective contact, or account.

Note: The ability to add a Call Log is governed by Roles and Permissions. When the call log permissions are revoked under roles, the user will not be able to find the option to add the call log on the Lead/Contact details page. To learn more, refer to this article.
