After your landing page has been published, you can optimize it to suit your business needs. Your web application allows you to follow it up by hosting the landing page, and can also maintain it periodically through revisions. Here are the actions that you can take:

Hosting on a custom domain


Your web application allows you to map your pages to your website. Once your Landing Page has been created and published, you can either share it in an email or on your social profiles. By default, all pages hosted by Freshworks are published to a URL that shows freshworks.net in the address. 
For example, [https://29jfwi.landingpages.net/your-page-name](https://29jfwi.landingpages.net/your-page-name). These URLs are automatically secured by SSL.


The custom domain feature is the easiest way to map your pages to a custom or subdomain. Once it’s set up, you can map any Freshworks landing pages to a custom domain or subdomain, e.g. [http://yourpersonaldomain.com/] or [http://uniquename.yourpersonaldomain.com/](http://uniquename.yourpersonaldomain.com/your-page)



Here’s how you can do this:

Part 1: Add your domain to Freshworks

  1. After building your landing page, click Publish at the top right of the page to get to the Launch page.


  1. Once on the Launch page, scroll to the bottom and you will see a section to add custom domains. Start by entering the domain you want your landing page set up on. It can either be on your subdomain (name.yourrootdomain.com) or root domain (yourrootdomain.com).




Part 2: Connect and verify your domain

  1. After you have entered your domain and hit CONNECT you will see a modal window appear with a set of instructions to follow.

  2. Once you have set your TXT and CNAME records do a quick check to see if it has propagated. It should look something like this:



    NOTE: The CRM does a quick validation check of your DNS records. If the record fails, you will be presented with failure messages. Similarly, you can also view the ongoing status of the DNS validation. Until successful validation you will be presented with pending_validation. Once validation is successful, the status will be turned into active.




  3. Go to the DNS console of your domain providers and create two DNS records


Embedding a landing page


In addition to adding your landing page to your website through a custom domain, you can also opt to embed it inside the body of your website using the iFrame code. Copy the embed code from the Embed section and paste it in the body of your website.

Note: Remove the header and footer from your landing page so that it inherits it from the site you’ve embedded it on.
